Justin Majors - Founder
Justin Majors founded Cardea Building Co. in 2004 to provide exceptional residential construction services in the Bay Area. He has worked in the construction and architectural design industries for over a decade and holds a degree in the Design for the Environment from the University of Pennsylvania. Justin's architectural background and field experience are invaluable to each project because he is able to provide creative construction solutions that complement the original design created by the client's architect or interior designer.
Dan Leinweber - Project Manager
Growing up in the Chicago metropolitan , Dan was immersed in the architectural heritage of Sullivan, Burnham, Graham, Wright, and Mies van der Rohe. He continued to engage his interest in the construction industry by spending his summers working on jobsites with the family-owned and operated real estate development company, which specializes in the design and build out of live/work lofts in former commercial buildings. Dan has over five years experience working on large-scale high-end residential projects throughout the Bay Area. His diverse construction background has given him the ability to understand design intent at all project phases, and in turn communicate with all stakeholders to efficiently produce results within budget perimeters. Possessing a keen understanding of sustainable and new design concepts, Dan takes pride in effectively integrating them into projects.
Oustide of his work in the design and construction industry, Dan's interests are many. He has explored and traveled in South America extensively and avidly spends lots of time outdoors, enjoying long range backpacking, mountain climbing, camping and bike riding. As a connoseiour of all things related to food, he spends lots of time creating in the kitchen while entertaining friends and family.
Eli Meltzer - Senior Site Superintendent
Eli has over 20 years of experience working in the high-end residential construction industry. He has extensive experience in all facets of construction, but has a particularly keen eye for finish millwork and design. By managing overall project schedules and contractor scopes of work, he is a valuable asset for project estimating, resourcing and scheduling. Eli takes great pride in managing the daily activities for his projects and ensures that both the client and designer understand all processes involved throughout the duration of the project.
